Yves Klein- Nel blu dipinto di blu

An important retrospective dedicated to Yves Klein, whose work seems to have a testamentary character, taking place in the two locations of Pietrasanta and Venice. Curated by Luca Beatrice and Gianfranco Maraniello, the exhibition presents several outstanding works by Klein, which retrace his short but intense career, dominated by the blue color that will take his name. The artist is intent on the exaltation of the metaphysical, and thanks to the approach to monochrome he manages to give dignity to the world by immersing it in the symbolic, represented precisely by his 'blue'.

The works are permanent references to his actions, so much that there is a rich photographic archive accompanying his activity, like an alchemist painter who had tried to animate and almost embody the works themselves.

Alongside Klein's works, the show displays a careful selection of works by contemporary masters united by the central theme of blue. Thus, we find works by Afro, Arman, Alighiero Boetti, Kate Bright, Enrico Castellani, Nicola De Maria, Sam Francis, Hans Hartung, Robert Indiana, Derek Jarman, Giuseppe Maraniello, Maurizio Nannucci, Mimmo Paladino, Fabrizio Plessi, Thomas Ruff, Lorenzo Scotto by Luzio.
